Inspirational YouTuber Gives Homeless Man $1,000 in Monetized Video with Millions of Views
Not all heroes wear capes. In fact, some of them are secretly walking amongst us in limited-edition Supreme X Louis Vuitton bomber jackets. On Tuesday evening, highly-fashionable YouTube sensation Kayden Grayson shocked his 7.8 million subscribers and restored the world’s collective faith in humanity with a heartwarming video titled “I GAVE HOW MUCH MONEY TO THIS RANDOM BUM?!?! (SUPER EMOTIONAL).”
The uplifting video, which currently has over 9 million views and four ads, began by showing Kayden, flanked by 17-year-old Instagram model Ariel Hazel, exiting his 2018 McLaren 570S in a low-income Los Angeles neighborhood and enthusiastically shouting the catchphrase “What the [expletive] is good, Kaydenites?!” into his Sony Cybershot RX9000.
The 23-year-old Hollywood Hills resident, who skyrocketed to widespread fame on Vine in 2014, proceeded to take $1,000 in cash out of his Balenciaga fanny pack leather belt bag and repeatedly yell “who wants it?!” into a megaphone at a group of three homeless men sleeping on a street corner.
Upon waking up, the disoriented vagabonds were elegantly instructed by Kayden to compete in a “slapbox competition” to determine which of them would get the money. In a tear-jerking twist of an ending, Kayden not only surprised the winner of the competition with $1,000, but he gave the other two homeless men a free t-shirt from his brand new “Killa Kayden” merch line.
“It felt so rewarding giving back to my local community,” Kayden admitted from the theater room of his 12,500 square foot winter home. “Seeing that hobo’s dirty face light up when I handed him that money—that was such a priceless feeling—it’s something that money can’t buy. Honestly, I just hope the video inspired my fans to do the same, and I really hope they continue to support me by buying my merch and subscribing to my Patreon.”
Kayden isn’t the first famous YouTuber to profit from recording himself doing generous deeds out of the kindness of his heart. Humble humanitarians with millions of subscribers, like DREY, Mr. Beast, Snew J, and FaZe Rug, have also experienced great financial success from uploading this genre of video.
